Kindergarten Graduation

Kylie had her kindergarten graduation the first week of June! This has been a great year for her. Her teacher Mrs. Jessee is a great veteran teacher. Very organized, kind, and even tempered.
Their program was so cute. Mrs. Jessee played the guitar while the kids sang about going on a bear hunt, having peanut butter on their underwear,

And being kind to alligators!Kylie was so lucky to have so many wonderful friends in her class including her friend Brinley!
Kylie will miss Mrs. Jessee but is excited to move onto 1st grade!

A Window!

Three years ago I bought this book. I imagined what it would be like to have Kylie loose a tooth, read her this story and put her tooth in the cute purple velvet bag.

Well this month it finally happened. Kylie had a tooth that was very wiggly. So wiggly that it hurt every time she ate. She begged me to pull it out. I declined. So when dad got home he did the job. She was SO brave...didn't even flinch or cry.

It left a cute window in her adorable smile!

She was so excited to read her book, put her tooth under her pillow, and go to sleep.
We almost met with disaster when mom realized she had in fact NOT read the whole book before and the book says the tooth fairy replaces the tooth with a "gold coin." Lucky for the "tooth fairy" she had a couple of "gold" dollar coins! :)

The BIG 3-0

So I turned 30 in April...it wasn't a big deal...in fact it was one of my favorite birthdays. My dad brought me these

My husband took me here for three different kinds of sushi

And my present was the best

For me 30 is just the beginning. I feel like the past 10 years have been filled with working, school, and kids. We are ready as a family to take some great vacations and as selfish as it sounds, I am ready to have more "me time."
So for me 30 is the beginning of some great times ahead!

Annual Hair Cut

Once a year we get our hair cut...I'm joking...for me it's more like a tri-yearly thing usually planned around preschool holidays so I can make the long trek up to Ogden to my favorite hairdresser Amy (she's my sister). And the girls totally get their hair cut more than once a year it's usually in my mom's kitchen when I ask Amy to bring her scissors to a family get-together. So I guess the honest statement would be "As a Family of Girls we get our hair cut in Amy's Salon once a year."

Some of our favorite things about the experience:
Getting our hair wash...thousands of little warm fingers tickling our scalps!

Playing the "Comb Game." Of course Kylie was the winner!
Looking at ourselves in the mirror...a girl can never get enough of that!
The magic Amy works with a hot iron!

Spending the day with our favorite stylist!

I'm So Glad When...

Daddy STAYS home! That's right "STAYS." Our Daddy likes to work 14 hour days and "comes" home just as we are going to bed, but when he stays home we have a blast! Our girls have wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese in Layton ever since it was built. So Saturday we decided it was time to see what all the excitement was about!

They loved playing the games and getting tickets!

Dad even "whacked" a mole or two!

The horse ride was one of their favorites...the horse increases speed when you kick it and you can use the reigns to steer!

The roller coaster ride felt like a "real" roller coaster! We loved the little booth that took their picture and then made us a sketch to keep!
One of our favorite days with Dad!

Fool Me Once...

April Fool:
n. me for thinking that April means spring is on the way!

For Preschool we had a "Fool's Day." The kids got to dress up in "foolish" clothes and do their hair "crazy!" Tessa loved it. She looked quite the "fool" decked out in slippers, striped tights, her favorite cheetah skirt, red sparkly shirt, a Halloween necklace and silly glasses! And check out that hair!
I also got decked out, but those pictures are under wraps so I don't see them on facebook! Kylie even did my hair with lots of flowers and clips.
I saw some cute ideas on the internet for breakfast but with the preschool party I went lazy and just dyed the girls' milk purple.
I got more "foolish" with lunch and made the girls eat DIRT with WORMS!?!?!
All in all a pretty good start to April!
(oh and don't tell our dad about the spider in his bed!)
