All TANGLED Up!

My little sister Amy is getting married on Tessa's "Real" Birthday (September 1st) and she didn't object to us moving her party up...so last weekend we put on a Tangled Birthday Party!

She was so excited to open the "princess dress" that Dad bought her!
Then we decided to paint like Rapunzel...but on paper, not the walls!
Then it was time for the traditional birthday pinata...this year a crown!
All that whacking got us hungry! Time for some pink and purple cupcakes!

We opened presents and had a great time!!After lunch it was time for family presents! Clothes and toys but her favorite gift was...

GUM!!!!
The fun didn't stop there! Dad took us out to In 'N' Out Burger and then we headed up to Lagoon for a few hours of rides!

HooRaY 4 Four!

I won a photo shoot with a neighborhood photographer and was so excited to get Tessa's Birthday pictures taken. I wanted to choose a outfit that fit her personality...cute and sassy...and I think this outfit is so her!

2nd Grade...here she comes!

I can't believe my girl is going into 2nd grade. She is growing up too fast!

And I just had to add this one of her on her bike!

Gettin' Fancy!

For her "friend party" Kylie had a Fancy Nancy Birthday! We painted jewelry boxes and nails, broke a fancy lady pinata, opened presents, and lit the candles on her cupcake cake. Kylie also requested chocolate dipped strawberries after seeing them at her aunt's wedding shower...and I couldn't deny her because they are tre fantaisie!

Family Party

We let Kylie open her family gifts on her "real" birthday! She got lots of school clothes but her favorite things were her Liv Doll, Barbie Fashion Center, her Justin Bieber doll from Grandma Lori, and her apron and baking trays to make 'Nana Bread from Grandma LaDean!

KyLiE turns 7!

Our cute Kylie turned 7 on August 17th. She has really grown up this year! She learned to ride her big bike, braid, jump rope, read very well, and write paragraphs! She is creative, friendly, kind and hardworking! We have loved every minute of the seven years she has been in our family!

Gymnastics

We signed Kylie up for a little 6 week summer gymnastics course and she loved it! She loved the beam, the bars (especially something called "spin the cat"), jumping on the trampolines and learning new tumbling skills!

Summer Project

I am constantly amazed at how handy my husband is! This summer we discovered the tile deck off our house had some "issues!"

The footings were about a foot off and so the deck was sagging and there was no moisture barrier under the tiles so they started coming up and some of the main posts were rotting. So we decided this would be a good summer weekend project.
We underestimated the demolition process and the time to let the new footings cure so it was about a 4 weekend project but in the end we were very pleased with the final product.

The trex should last a long time and the stain turned out great!
We liked the stain so much that we redid the our little bridge as well!

Once you've splashed...

You'll definitely go back! We recently discovered the splash pad near our house and we love it!
