Walking in a Winter Wonderland

When Kody and I moved into our Woods Cross house eight years ago we outfitted ourselves with the homeowner basics:  lawnmower, tiller, leaf blower, and a GIGANTIC snow blower.  Each winter we would get a little snow but as Kody would put it "not enough to use the snowblower."  I can't tell you home many winters I found myself shoveling the few inches that fell.
Well you know what they say about carma....
Our first Fall in our North Salt Lake home and we get this!
It started snowing Friday morning and it kept snowing,

and snowing

and SNOWING!

It snowed so much he had to break out the four-wheeler with the plow,
the snow blower

 and a shovel.
These pictures were taken on Saturday afternoon and it actually kept snowing until about afternoon on Sunday.
On the plus side it looks so beautiful and it has sent the deer down our way....
Can you spot them in the picture below?

Crazy Hair Day

HALLOWEEN JACKPOT

We had a lot of fun this Halloween.  It was one of the warmest on record and it was our first time in our new neighborhood.
A witch.."but not a scary witch"
A Spa Girl
and  a Baby Doctor!

We went around the neighborhood as a family and then I drove Kody and the girls up the hill and Balyor and I went home to hand out candy. the girls came home an hour and a half later with quite a "haul."
Kody said that when they would run back from a door Tessa would yell "Jackpot."
She also said it was the "greatest night of her life."  The girl sure likes candy and I imagined myself telling her husband on the day of their wedding, "I'm sorry but Halloween 2012 was the 'greatest night of her life'...but this comes a close second."

Baylor @ 4 Months

This little guy is growing, growing, growing.  He is 26 1/2 inches long (95%tile) and 13 lbs 15 oz (45 %tile).
He is so social and loves to be held, talked to, and has even started laughing.  He recently found his fingers and likes to suck on those when his binky isn't available.  He kicks and plays with his toes too!  He is a real calm and happy baby.  He goes to bed about 8:30 and is still waking up a couple times a night but takes some good naps during the day.
He is so tough too!  My girls have screamed when they received their shots (often trying to catch their breath as the needle goes in).  Baylor whines a little ( I think more from me holding him down than from the shot) and is immediately happy again once I pick him up.

Daddy/Daughter Costume Party!

Kylie has loved going to Activity Days ever since she turned 8.  Their last couple activities have been getting ready for a Daddy/Daughter Costume Party.
It was tricky finding a costume for Kody...he doesn't love to dress up.  But I think this dog catcher and dog are just perfect...and the mustache is just the right touch  :)  !
Kody won the doughnut on a string contest and they had a lot of fun in the tie-tying contest and the toilet paper mummy wrapping game!

Snow Angels BEFORE Halloween

UTAH...one of the only places you can make snow angels before you go trick or treating!!!

Pumpkin Walk

It has been a wonderfully warm October and my mom was nice enough to invite us up to the cabin on her week.  The kids were in heaven!  Baylor loves all the holding, loves, and smiles he gets.  The girls love getting in the hot tub with cousins.

12 years ago Kody asked me out on a date...and where did he take me on our first date?  The North Logan Pumpkin Walk. Ever since then I have wanted to take our girls. So after lunch at A & W we headed to the pumpkin walk
(Madagascar 3)

(The Bachelor)
(Candy Land)

It was perfect weather and we had a great time.  Unfortunately that great time ended in Brigham City when we were  stuck behind a Rocket?!
