Niner

Guess which little boy turned 9 months?  I'll give you a hint...it's the cutie in the red hat.
Baylor has gone through a little growth spurt which apparently made him famished.  He was eating every three hours gulping down his bottles and needing a diaper change just as frequently...it was like having a newborn all over again. But now he is finally tapering off.
He is strating to roll around a lot know.  Loves playing with and chewing on everything from clothes to fingers and toys.  His blue eyes are still so observant constatly taking in everything around him.
He goes to bed quickly without crying but still wakes up during the night... I promise I am going to make him "cold turkey" soon.  He has given up the pacifier and still only has 2 teeth. He is a great baby and rarley cries.  He can go from being really chill to having a burst on energy (usually around 9 at night) happily screaming and wiggling around.
He is such a tough guy.  He let out a small cry right when he got the shot but then was fine.
His stats for 9 months:
Weight 17 lbs 4 oz  <5th p="" tile="">Length 28.5 " 50th %tile
Head 17" 5th %tile

He is our lean little guy and we love him so much!

Do You Know Art?

Well I do....and I must say that I love kid art!  My favorite impressionist is a local artist, Tessa Nelson

Her Rapunzel is simply beautiful.
Her Jesus is so special.

Her Subway Surfer girl and money are so true to form

There is always a story behind her work.  Like this one...
Me:"Why is the little girl sad on her birthday?"
Tessa:"Because there's a bomb in her cake."
(She may be a writer for the tv show 24 someday ;)  )

She does at times give her art as gifts to family and friends like these nail polish, perfume, and makeup pieces.

She does holiday pieces...
as well as wildlife.

Her love life is also one of the subject matter she throws herself into...

I wonder if Max knows he is often a subject of her art?

We love this little artist and hope she never stops drawing :)

Easter

We had such a fun easter weekend.  Our sweet neighbors the Puglesy's gave us this beautiful Easter Cake..and it tasted as good as it looks!

We headed up to the cabin on Friday and right as we arrived there was a mini thunderstorm followed by this beautiful rainbow...I don't think I have seen one from end to end in a long time.

We did some hot tubbing and then made these delicous bird's nests out or pretzels and chocolate.

Saturday, we died eggs, went on a ride, and watched a movie before leaving the

We were not disappointed.  Our baskets were overflowing and there were tons of eggs to be found!

 We loved our new goggles...

and sunglasses!

After the cabin we headed down and went to church with grandma and grandpa.  In all the fun we didn't get a great picture of all of use together in our Easter Best.

We had a delicious ham dinner and then the boys played hacky sack with a large red exercise ball
While the kids did a really cute hunt for symbols of Easter and Christ's crucifixion and resurrection.

There was an egg hunt, a pinata, and even our traditional "It's Easter No Stopping" game.

We got home late so it was the next day before we opened our package from Grandma and Grandpa Nelson.  It was filled with games, treats, prizes, and lots of love!

Cousins

I seriously feel sorry for kids who don't have cousins that live nearby.  They are like sisters who you see just enough to have a great time but not enough to fight with. We love going anywhere and doing anything with "the cousins!"
This time the boys headed up to cabin a day early so they could get a start on some snowmobiling and Laura and I headed up with our girls and Bay the next day.
They said the snowmobiling was great until...

a tree branch jumped out and cut Kody's face. Good thing Jer had his EMT pack so they bandaged it up and sledded for another hour and a half before heading back in town for six stitches.

The next day we headed up to the bowl for some sledding.  We had a few misshaps with the plastic sleds ending with a few wipe outs and scrapes.  But the tubing and snowmobile ride back up to the top was great.  The sun was shining and it turned out to be a fabulous day!
