Spring Break wasn't very "springy" with all the bad weather...but a break is a break right?
One of the fun things that we did was visit the Bingham Canyon (Kenecott) Copper Mine!
Who wouldn't want to see something that is visible from space?!

The mine is 2 3/4 miles across and 3/4 mile deep. You could stack two Sears Towers on top of each other and still not reach the top!

We loved seeing the GIGANTIC tires that they use on the trucks that haul the blasted material. The trucks are so big the drivers have to climb up a ladder to get in them.

The Visitor Center had a lot of cool things to look at; like different minerals under microscopes, toys of all the different mining vehicles. We thought it fitting that Kylie take a picture next to this "excavator tooth"...it's much bigger than the teeth she's loosing! :)
