Tennis Anyone?

This summer we signed Kylie up for a tennis class through South Davis Recreation. Her best friend Alexis signed up as well and they had lessons for two weeks over at North Canyon Park.

They liked it so well we signed them up for another session!

They sweated their guts out, picked up some new skills, and got some sweet tans.

We even had a few ~~play dates~~ hang outs after tennis. One time I looked up and these two "Ombres" had snuck up on me....such silly girls :)

So our 4th of July fun actually started on the 3rd...you know 4th of July EVE.
We had my sister Amy and her husband Jake, and our friends the Caters over for a little BBQ before watching the awesome EagleRidge Fireworks from our deck.

Then Kody slept out on the deck with the girls.

They did really well until it started to thunder, lightning, and rain. They all ended back in our room for an "inside" sleepover.

On the 4th we dressed in our most patriotic attire,

did some swimming at Cherry Hill, and grabbed a quick bite to eat before heading to the Motor Vu Drive In.

It was the kids first drive in (and Kody's as well). We watched Despicable Me 2 and Monster's University...and a few of the Riverdale Fireworks!

Kylie and Mallory stayed up for both movies (Tessa only made it half way through the 2nd movie)...not too shabby considering we got home at 2:00 am :)

Ricks College Reunion EXTRAVAGANZA

We thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd Annual Ricks College Reunion Extravaganza! We took a tour of the Paris Tabernacle

And played at a nearby park.

Thoroughly enjoyed a night out at the Pickleville Playhouse watching El Bandito Rides Again!

There was swimming at the beach

initiating the new members of the Running Rabbits into the club,

and good old fashioned silliness!

And lots of catching up! So glad these ladies and their families came to visit...can't wait until next year!

We were so excited to get passes to Cherry Hill Water Park this year! Our friends the Carter's, Checkett's, Morby's, and my sister Amy got them too! So we have been partying it up at the pool several times a week. It's our favorite way to beat the heat!
