Ocho Meses

My dear friend Amanda watches my Baylor Boo three days a week and took these pictures for me on Valentine's Day.
Isn't she AMAZING?!
They so perfectly capture Baylor's sweet face and common expressions that I decided to use them in this post to give a little update of our little Bay-O at 8 months old.

He has started chewing on anything and everything. Can I fit my whole hand in my mouth...hmpwpm...
A sign of teething? Usually. But this guy is still toothless.
Still loves his paci...although I can hear Super Nanny's voice in my voice saying "If he is holding it to chew on it he probably doesn't need it anymore." To which I reply, "I need it Jo Jo, I need it!"
He likes just relaxin' and watching a little PBS,
 charming the ladies,

and sampling the local cuisine
We have graduated from the baby bath to washing with sisters
and now can be in our bouncer or bumbo without throwing a fit.
Is it hard for that little neck to hold up such cute chubby cheeks?
It is literally exhausting!
Turning 8 months old.........
 NAILED IT!!!!

We couldn't love this little guy anymore!  We are constantly asking "what would we do without him?"

Valentines!

Do I put an exclamation point on blog post title?  Why yes, yes I do!  But this Valentines was quite exclamation point worthy. We had a little Playgroup Valentine Party. Making bags and handing out valentine's...what could be better?

Then there was the anticipation of what Dad (and Mom) were going to leave valentine morning.  Tessa was so excited she could hardly sleep (either we give really good gifts or this long cold winter has made them starved for any kind of excitement).

The night before Kylie called Kody at work to remind him they needed to go shopping. He came home early and the girls said they were going to shop with Dad for "business stuff."  They were so excited that they gave me my gifts right when they got home.
And that my friend is why you have girls...'cause they know how to hook a mom up :)
Finally, they loved getting Valentine Cards with a $2 bill from Grandma...they are already planning what to buy.

Gong Hey Fat Choy...Happy Chinese New Year!

NO SCHOOL!!!!

We were excited to have a day with no school so we decided to celebrate by visiting a place we hadn't been in a while...Kangaroo Zoo.  We loved all the sliding and jumping!

Snow Day...HECK...Snow Weekend!

Late Thursday afternoon it started snowing.  The National Weather Service issued a severe weather warning effective until Saturday afternoon.

Friday school was closed.  The girls really enjoyed their Snow Day eating pancakes and staying in their pajamas making snow forts.

The snow really piled up.
By Saturday we had about 30 inches!
The storm was named "Gandolph" by the National Weather Service.
Saturday the snow finally let up and we had some fun!
Kody helped the girls make a snow cave.

We did some sledding.

We relaxed in what we called "snow chairs."

We decided to make the cave into a tunnel and give it a little pizzaz with some colored water.

We made snow slushies using clean snow and some pina colada snow cone syrup mom had left over from summer.
Then Kody and the two older girls took the ultimate plunge sliding down the large retaining rocks down the side of our house.
Oh how we LOVE the snow...on the weekend!

New Years Eve Day

We decided to get out and have a wonderful New Year's Eve Day!  We went down to the Gateway and let the girls go to Build-a-Bear (a Christmas Gift from Santa).  In all the fun I forgot to take pictures.
At the beginning of December Kylie told me she wanted to get her ears pierced.  I really wanted this to be her choice so I gave her a couple of weeks to make sure she was ready.
So after we went to Build-a-Bear we walked over to Claire's and she took the plunge.  There was only one worker so she had to get each ear pierced separately but after just a few tears he was all smiles again.
Finally, we ended the day with a trip to Wendy's.

It was a wonderful way to end 2012!
