Family Party

We let Kylie open her family gifts on her "real" birthday! She got lots of school clothes but her favorite things were her Liv Doll, Barbie Fashion Center, her Justin Bieber doll from Grandma Lori, and her apron and baking trays to make 'Nana Bread from Grandma LaDean!

KyLiE turns 7!

Our cute Kylie turned 7 on August 17th. She has really grown up this year! She learned to ride her big bike, braid, jump rope, read very well, and write paragraphs! She is creative, friendly, kind and hardworking! We have loved every minute of the seven years she has been in our family!

Gymnastics

We signed Kylie up for a little 6 week summer gymnastics course and she loved it! She loved the beam, the bars (especially something called "spin the cat"), jumping on the trampolines and learning new tumbling skills!

Summer Project

I am constantly amazed at how handy my husband is! This summer we discovered the tile deck off our house had some "issues!"

The footings were about a foot off and so the deck was sagging and there was no moisture barrier under the tiles so they started coming up and some of the main posts were rotting. So we decided this would be a good summer weekend project.
We underestimated the demolition process and the time to let the new footings cure so it was about a 4 weekend project but in the end we were very pleased with the final product.

The trex should last a long time and the stain turned out great!
We liked the stain so much that we redid the our little bridge as well!

Once you've splashed...

You'll definitely go back! We recently discovered the splash pad near our house and we love it!

Squiggly People

I love that stage where kids begin drawing people... or squiggly people to be exact. My 4 year old Tessa drew this of our family and my sister's family

Handcart Days and the 24th

Handcart Days has become a tradition for us! We love the fishing pond, the little carnival rides, the snow cones, creamies, nachos, hot dogs, and cotton candy!!!

And we braved the Bountiful Parade for the first time!

Then our 24th weekend extended to the 25th as we headed to Ogden to watch the parade with the fam. We were having so much fun at the parade and the bbq after that I forgot to snap some pictures, but I always say the messiness of a shirt is directly correlated to the fun had and as you can see....

We had a BLAST!
