Amelia Earhart

A couple years ago Kylie became obsessed with Amelia Earhart.  She read a book detailing her life and was hooked.  So when it was time for her 5th grade Famous American Report came around she really hoped she could be Amelia.  We were out of town on the day they chose their people but lucky for us Amelia was still left.
We worked on her detailed report, speech, poster and wardrobe over a month or two.  We watched a movie about her life and looked up lots of websites.

One of the requirements for the presentation was a creative button to push for the famous americans to come to life and give their speech. I was happy to hand that over to dad who made an app that made an airplane sound when you pushed it.

Parents, visitors, and some of the other grades were invited to come find out about these famous Americans!  Kylie got a little nervous, but I had heard her speech many times and was so proud of her hard work!

Kylie says some day she would love to solve the mystery of Amelia Earhart's disappearance :)

After that exhausting day she invited a few friends over for a movie night!
